Hello, my name is Paloma Castro. I have been a psychologist since 2015 and hold a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Minho. I am Brazilian, but my career in psychology has taken me on many paths of transformation around the world.

While still in college, I began studying female and maternal mental health. Since then, I have been increasingly training myself in this field, as my personal and professional mission is to strengthen the self-esteem and leadership of women around the world.

In these 10 years of psychology, I have always chosen to follow paths that would lead me to improvement, development, and growth. For 10 years, I have been a clinical psychologist, practising individual psychotherapy using a cognitive behavioural therapy approach.

Using this approach, we work with ways of thinking, feelings and behaviours, as well as the beliefs we have about ourselves, as these directly interfere with how we relate to ourselves, others and the world. This approach is often recommended by psychiatrists and other doctors, as there is a lot of research and scientific studies on it, and the sessions are usually very dialogue-based and collaborative.

I also conduct therapeutic groups for women, working on topics related to mental health and interpersonal relationships, for women who seek support and a care network, as well as to strengthen their female empowerment.

In addition, I also guide other psychology professionals through supervision and mentoring, so that they can make a living from psychology in a safe and authentic way.
